This product is identical to GE's monoreactive Cy5NHS ester. It reacts easily with amino groups. They are widely used to label peptides, proteins, and oligonucleotides, among others. Cyanine5 dye is one of the common red fluorophores. These versatile fluorophores can tolerate a pH range of 3-10 and are used in a variety of applications with biologically relevant pH.
